    No sound help please

Well I have already searched the forums for answers for this but the answers are not working. Under Virtualdub I am getting the "Compression: Unknown (tag 2000)", so I obtained the "iviaudio.ax" file put it in my Winnt/system directory and registered it with "regsvr32" via a batch file, still no sound though.

    please help

    btw I have Win2k

You need to make sure that the AC3 codec is selected during installation.

yep, I have tried that, I have also noticed that while I have been fiddling around with trying to get this to work - some of my other audio codecs have stuffed up and I cant seem to get everything working again right. So I think I am going to do a rebuild on my PC, oh well I'm bored anyway

That's one hell lot of work for the trouble. But anyway, good to hear it's fixed.
