need help too play Divx Movies with ac3

I got some movies with AC3
my soundblaster card is a Audiogy Platinium eX
and receiver is a Denon 1801 that support Dolby digital and DTS

Now i tryed allmost everthing too playback dvix movies with ac3 i either get no sound at all or only stereo

pls help me

Have a DVD player software, like PowerDVD or WinDVD, installed. Alternatively, install the AC3 codec using a codec pack, like Nimo or Tsunami.

OK i got Windvd 4 plus full version
Powerdivx and installed a AC3 codex
and still i dont get ac3 output
and still i only got stereo

mayby my movies dont got ac3 5,1 but mayby only ac 2,0

or what ?

That is a very likely possibility...

If you want to determine this with certainty, if you are now able to play this video under Windows Media Player, play the video under WMP, rightclick in the middle of the video image, select "Properties", click on the "Advanced" tab, doubleclick on "Intervideo Audio Decoder"...

Well now i only use Windvd 4 plus that program is the best movie program i know
i use it for SVCD DIVX and normal mpeg movies
cuzz its the only program i got DVDs too work with DTS and DD

But i think u right that the movies only got 2,0
i tryed with harts War that was only 2,0 atm im downloading Star Wars E1 that should have 5,1
or els i will try rip some of my dvds then i know for sure they got 5,1
