    Audio Noises

    Hi,

I have Nimo's codec pack v5.0 (running on win xp pro). I don't know if this problem started before I installed Nimo or after but I'm getting unbearable scratching noise when I play Divx files, Files that I didn't have problems with before. But I do have files with Divx encoding that sound just fine.

Anyone knows what the problem is?

Uninstall Nimo and reinstall it, this time making sure that you select only the codecs that you need. Otherwise, try reinstalling your soundcard driver.

      same problem here

I have the same problem here. When i play movies encoded with ac3 sound, i hear unbearable scratch during the playback. Is there any codec better that i could use. Any setting that would be better. It happend when i use the spdif output of my audigy. Curiously, the noise diseapear when i use the via97 soundcard that is integrated to my motherboard. I still have some little glitch, but not the scratch noise any more. Could the problem be an issue with the audigy. I tried to uninstall the codec, downgrade to divx 3.11 and intall 4.12 and not use this one to play divx3.11 content. This is very anoying and i don't know what to do. fyi i run windows XP ? should i downgrade to a soundblaster 5.1 ? Any help would be appreciated.

      Thanks
