    Codec (audio) problems

I use Vidomi to encode to divx. Use two pass VBR (not sure if it uses 3.11a or 4.12) to hit a target of 694 MB. Looks great and have no complaints. I use GDivx to playback the files. Utilizes around 30-40% CPU cycles. Recently, I have update newer versions of programs mentioned and upgraded to codec 5.02. Didn't like it, went back to 4.12. and didn't like the new vidomi version so I backtracked also. (never change anything that worked so well for you in the past).....anyway, I believe I am missing some critical file. My CPU usage is 100% in full screen mode and can barely keep up. (choppy). I think it has something to do with the audio codec. not sure. Have a 1 GHz PIII (tul). Any help would be appreciated.
