XBOX 360 HD DVD to PC

My PC now recognizes my XBOX 360 HD DVD drive. Here's the link for the drivers: http://uneasysilence.com/archive/2006/11/8303/

Now I'm looking at software to decrypt, rip, and burn. So far there's not much I've found to decrypt or rip. It looks like Nero 7 Ultimate Edition Edition (Enhanced) will burn BD and HDDVD; but, it's a little vague to be certain.

So; who's working on this and what information do you have to share?

My intention is to burn the movies to a 5 TB external HD and have my 60" LCD play from that. Will this work and give me a 1080P or I resolution?

That's okay. But as a general discussio on the topic, the status of high def DVD ripping and even just simple playback is still very much in the air at the moment. Even if you have the right specs, and playing straight from the original disc, playback is not guaranteed. It's probably going to take 6 month to a year for everything to get settled, and I would be very interested in the proposed "managed copy" functionality that the studios are mentioning - perhaps it could even provide a legal method of doing what you plan on doing (copy HD discs to a disk server, play it off that - nobody loses money in this scenario if you purchased the original disc, yet it's still illegal/impossible to do this at the moment).
