Can't make my Nokia 5300 play MPG videos / DVD-rips

    Hi

I just bought a NOKIA 5300 Xpress Music Edition cell phone (from South East Asia). I got 1GB memory in it.

I tried to convert a DVD sample with IMTOO DVD Ripper 4 to .AVI & .MP4. Both were playable on my NOKIA Multimedia player from my PC but my phone was "unable to open file". Both formats were set at video size 320 x 240.

Also, I tried playing my MPEG files (all PAL format compatible) in my 5300 made by TMPGENC long time ago but still no luck.

Finally, I tried using ALLOK Video to 3GP converter to convert my MPEG videos to .3GP. Still no luck!

    I prefer the following output:
    - 25 fps (no less than 20 fps really!) if PAL
    - Audio Stereo 128kbps
    - Video size 320 x 240 [my phone's spec with QVGA]

What software can I really use to rip DVDs / convert my MPEG videos into playable files for my 5300?

    Please Help.

It seems that your phone supports the following video formats:3GPP formats (H.263)
H.264/AVC ,MPEG-4. So MPEG files (from TMPGenc) will not play. Regarding the other formats, try converting using SUPER and let us know what happens.
