Sony VX1000 Problem Recording/Capturing

Does anyone know what causes the problem shown in the link posted below? It happens anywhere from only one frame to maybe three or four on worst case. When editing the audio drops to null (which allows me to easily find it in the stream and cut it out). The underlying interlaced video bars are from the prior recording so it has to be taking place when the video was taken/photographed, not on PC catpture.

Is it the heads wearing out? See here a couple of examples

The heads surely need cleaning.

I agree, either the heads are dirty, or the tape is no good.

Today I used a new tape (only used once to lay down the time code), and I played a Sony head cleaning tape for 10 seconds like directions say. I took pictures of a soccer game this morning and still had problems. I have 9 frames in sequence linked here. I filmed a birthday party in the afternoon on the same tape sequentially after the mornig soccer game, and did not have any glitches. Any other ideas? When you refer to cleaning are you talking about a professional repair station that may have something more exotic than the Sony head cleaner tape? See here

Today's case is a little different than I originally described since all the bars in this 9-frame example are from the recording made today and the time code recording is not sneaking through like the first example. The first example had a time code track laid down, used once, and then reused (3x), and the stuff sneaking through was from the 2nd use recording.

I also once did as the directions said ,but to avail.Then I ran the tape for the full length of time(about 5 min) and everything was fine. So,run the full tape and see if it helps.

Wouldn't 5 min be a little hard on the wear of the head(s)? Does MiniDV use the same head technology as a set-top VHS recorder, only recording digital signals instead of analog?

this would be very bad, im having this problem now, with uncleanable heads, i ran the tape 3 times only 10 secs each and now i have all black video.
