Help, terrible audio quality with firewire

Hi, when capturing from my camcorder through the firewire cable, the video is ok but the audio is very bad, stuttering. I have tried both Cyberlink Power Director and Sony Vegas with the same result. Can anyone help with this problem? Soundcard is Creative Soundblaster live. Thanks.

    Install AC3 codec.
    You raise the blade,
    You make the change,
You rearange me till I'm sane.
You lock the door, throw away
    the key,
    There's someone in my head
    and it's not me.

I doubt AC3 has got anything to do with it. Capturing through firewire gives DV-audio.
Play ur captured file in Media Player Classic and report what filter is being used to decode the audio.

Hi all, although I am still having problems with my firewire transfer when using Cyberlink or Sony Vegas, apparently windows movie maker does not have this problem. What happens when I capture with Windows Movie Maker is that on replaying the captured media, with any software including the windows movie maker software it plays too fast.
Both the video and audio seem to be ok except for the fact it plays too fast. Can anyone remedy this problem for me? Thanks.
