Freeware Program Like TMPGEnc?

Are there any freeware programs available that function like TMPGEnc?

I want to extract the audio track from a digital video so I can edit it in
Audacity....

If the video is DVD then PGCDEMUX is the tool for your job.

If you have the VOBS for the movie VOB EDIT can create the audio stream for you.

Outdated TMPGEnc basic or plus is mainly used as a video encoder and compression down to 4.7gb and to build the video with various options such as d2v video in and m2v video out, but it will create an outdated mpa or mp2 audio file.
