    avi problem

    Hi all, i have 2 avi's on my system and they play in media player ok, but the pic is not that good and the sound is a bit bare, so I thought of using media pro to clean them up and convert to mpg.However, media player reports that the codec required is not installed on the system. Ok, But I thought that only windows media player used codecs

    what do you mean by "bare", please elaborate.

    You can apply filters in Virtualdub, and increase the volume.

      Bare is not really correct say sound dropouts would be nearer the mark. sorry for that
