How to cut and join without losing sync in subtitles

Anyone knows how I can cut and join AVI files without losing the track in subtitles? I've been using VirtualDub to cut them (followed the instructions) but I don't know how to join them without single frame being lost, and therefore sync in subtitles being lost..
Anyone know any other software for this? Isn't there more easier way to cut and join avi files than using actual video editing tool?

    Regards,
    Jason

      But how?

But actually how can you use Vdub to do this? You mean you cut the avi file in specific frame and then join them? But I haven't found the option from the actual program and the helpfile is so limited.. Hmm.
