    Problem playing back dvix

I have a Toshiba D-KR10KU DVD recorder. It is also Dvix certified. I have had the recorder for a little over a year and have had no problems.
I used to be able to burn a Divx file to a disc and then watch it on the player, but now it won't do this.
Was there a change in the codec that is causing new divx files not to play on this unit?
If anybody can help me, please do, or direct me to where I can get help.
I have checked the Toshiba site and they don't have anything in a firmware upgrade for this model.
    Thanks

Yes, I still have the older files and they play fine, just the newer ones won't play. It is a stand alone DVD recorder, not a computer component. Everything plays fine on the computer though.

            there are many ways

            1)load them into virtualdub
2)go to file => file properties or something alike
3)make a screenshot and post them

              Use Mediainfo.

Ok, installed Media Info and this is what I found out:

The dvix file that will play on my DVD recorder/player has a writing library
codec (hope I got that right) of xvid 1.10 (utc 2005-11-22)

The dvix file that won't play on my stand-alone has a codec of
                xvid 1.20 dev47 (utc 2006-11-1).

Seems like it is a newer version, am I correct in this? Is there any way to
change it to the older version so I can play it on my stand-alone?
