    Choppy/Lagging Sound?

For about a week now all the sounds(movies,.mp3's) ive listened to from my computer have had a lagged sound every few seconds.Like you hear a few seconds of audio clearly then you hear d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d for a second and it repeats.I think it may be because about a week ago I installed the full version of the Nimo codec.I guess that one of the codecs that was installed caused all the sounds to get that laggy sound.Anyone had this problem before or know how to remove all the codes on a computer?

    system restore

    do you run windows xp?
can you restore your system config to the day before install?
if so save what you need off the pc that you do not want to lose and poof no more nimo.
i only get the lag on my computer when i have my media players configured wrong or to many applications running at once.
check to see if the output on your media players were not changed due to the codec install. if you believe a corruption of config has occured just reinstall the player that shows the problem. if not i'm unable to help due to i'm trying to just find the place were codecs are stored. trying to copy a codec into my system without any remenence of an installl
