can't play the output AVI converted from DVD

Hi! I got a issue on dvd conversion....

After my converting a DVD to AVI format, the video will not play in Windows Media Player, and in VLC player I get the messageas "AVI Error".

But the output file WILL play in my converter viewer, but shows the "Format" as "0x100000002"

To convert the DVD I take the profile in "Customized AVI Movie (*.avi)".
    Anyone can help????

just make sure the definition of the converted video is appropriate.

I would give AutoGK a try. Especially if you are not using subtitles AutoGK just does everything well by default. It automatically crops and "16x9-ifies" letterboxed 4:3 movies. It gives good quality in one pass if you set the quality percentage around 90% or so. Typically a DVD5 will convert to an .avi about 2 GB in size in one pass and look good on a stand-alone divx player or on a software player. I've never had any problem playing AutoGK output on media player classic, VLC, dixv player, whatever.

I suggest you to try it again. Maybe some mistakes happen during the converting process, it will be OK to convert it again.
