1080/60p & DVD Playback

I've been shooting digital video footage in 1080/60p recording mode; after editing, I'll be burning the footage to DVD-R discs...

Is 1080/60p a mode that most DVD players can play back?

No DVD player would be able to play 1080p, let lone at 60 FPS.

OK...can 1080p footage be converted to play on DVD players?

Yes. If you have editing software, it will probably have a profile to output to DVD PAL/NTSC.
