iso question

I have a smart tv and am able to play .avi movies directly from my usb hd using smart connect from LG. It's quick and works great.

I have .iso files and would like play them the same way. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can convert this without creating an actual dvd and then copying it back to the usb hd?

you have to extract the contents of an iso file one way or another so playing the file itself is not possible I think
