            Nice App!

Is there a way to import the chapter titles from a txt file? Maybe there's a way to automate the process like Chapter Grabber does:

PS: The about box still says version 1.63

              Kicks Ass! Thx!

Be carefull with some movies, there are different versions out there, chapters do not always match.

These are links were you can get the chapter infos:
AllMovie provides comprehensive movie info including reviews, ratings and biographies. Get recommendations for new movies to watch, rent, stream, or own.

The magic of Blockbuster Movies lives on. Find remaining store information or Make it a Blockbuster Night with DISH On Demand.

There are still some cosmetic bugs:

                  FallenAngel:

Taking your advice I have registered here. I will Post one of the VIDEO_TS.IFO, that cause problems.

General Symptoms, if I author with tmpgenc dvd author & burn with nero all is well. After I use titlewriter then tmpgenc dvd author will not add dvd video from the video that was just created even though it will add prior to my using titlewriter. It just gives a unhelpful error message after titlewwriter, I say unhelpful as it appears as gibberish, due i suspect to being a japanese error message with no japanese language support on my machine, not that I could read Japanese anyway.

Since others are using the program with no problems, I'm guessing that it is something I'm doing.

would my posting a before and after help pin down my mistake?

If so how do you want them, just post as trext into the message or ??

Thanks. It's been killing my free time adding trhe titles manually into my new Sony changer as I create them and your program looks like it is just the thing.

I Just ran a quick test here. I tried adding dvd video into tmpgenc, no problem, then ran titlewriter, made no changes saved, tmpgenc then errors when opening it.

Help! I eating up all my free time manually inputing titles into this sony. But I need titles otherwise I need to create a printed index.

                  Cheers

                    Before & After VIDEO_TS.IFO & BUPs

                    Hello FallenAngel

Here are the IFOs you requested.

I wasn't trying to add video content with tmpgenc dvd author that was just additional testing.

OK IfoEdit says "No Valid DVD Volume could be located" this after it opens the ifo and I select play the dvd. IT then lets me continue and play with another warning, it does seem to play.
Edit: Just went back and ran IfoEdit against the before and it gives the same error message.

DVD Shrink 3.2 does open the DVD.

OK I hope this works. I created three RARs, One called Before, another called after & one containing both of those.

I know you said zip it up, if RAR is no go for you, let me know and I'll bring home a copy of the old dos zip program and recreate them in zip format.

                    Thanks
                    Roger

The Ifoedit error is meanless - simply means you are not opening a disc or iso so no volume name.
What was the other Warning in Ifoedit
Were you trying to drag an after .VOB into TMPGenc and could you drag a "Before" .VOB in.
Just a thought -- Since Titlewriter modifies the structure of the files (Sizes and offsets) your Tmpgenc project template probably doesn't match - Could be another cause of your problems. If Both DvdShrink and IfoEdit play the files your disc should be "Burnable" and "playable"

Sector tests on .Ifo's you sent me are correct. I didn't see anything glaringly bad.

P.S Clicking on VOLUME: entry creates a second name field matching the second field in your standalone player. Just click DVDVOLUMENAME to create a master name for the DVD. Your Ladybugs was in the second line.

I noticed 16 menus on that dvd - During Titlewriting was Add Menu unclicked or did you get a warning that a menu was already present.

Heres something you could try - Open the after video_ts.ifo in ifoedit - Get VTS Sectors ->> All files. Watch closely and see if any offsets are modified.

Hello Fallen Angel & Thanks for the help.

NO I wasn't trying to drag & drop a VOB in tmpgenc. As I understand it from observation "Add DVD video" reads the info from the DVD's IFO file. I say this because I can choose what title and whether or not to import chapter points.

But tmpgenc dvd author program won't open the dvd after titlewriter has operated on it, it just produces and error, in I suspect Japanese.

RE: your PS, I tried it both ways.

Yes I did try the Add Menu and did get that warning that a menu was already present.

Second IFO Warning reads "DVD Warning: The decoder does not support the new format" This appears after I start playing the dvd. Could that be because it is a non-standard resolution? The files come straight from a DVR's hard disk, I path to dvd res, add to tmpgenc, repatch back to original res, and author. They play fine in the Sony 5 disk and the new 400 disk changer, and both Apex's with no problems. Maybe because they are standard DVB res? I'm pretty sure it isn't the resolution as I'm having the same problem with DVD backups of commercial disks and ones where I resized to standard 1/2 D1 and 720 by 480 resolution before authoring. Those would be disks from a standalone DVD recorder, or captures through a ADVC-100 to DV format and then converted to MPEG 2 with tmpgenc Plus.

Tried the get VTS Sectors as suggested, didn't see anything happen, where should I be looking?

If I thought it would help I'd capture the tmpgenc error with print screen, paste into wordpad, RAR, and attach, But it's just giberish I suspect because I don't have Japanese language support in my windows.

                        Thanks
                        Roger

                        Edit: I'm using TitleWriter1.654.exe, latest?

TBoneit: Think I've found it (At Least the TDA fault)- Unzip the attachment whereever you have the Titlewriter proggie.
Downloaded TDA Demo. Created project - titlewrited (Old Ver) ->>TDA'd Error showed up.
Tinkered with titlewriter --New Ver Titlewrited with 1.655, could open result in TDA. Burned with Nero and played on my settop juke. Don't Know if this fixes in your settop player.

The hard part now is trying to decide which Ver. is closer to DVD Compliancy - the modifications alter the ifo's overall structure. A lot of Users with Sonys have been using the old (Pre 1.655 Layout without problems) This creates a dilemma. Whos closer to the standard - TDA or everyone else. (Its quite possible its TDA)

Probably have to start a Beta Test if this plays in your settops.

P.S. If You don't see Ifoedit popping open FYI boxes during Get VTS Sectors it didn't make alterations.

                            Hello,

Not being a IFOEdit user.. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to pop-up something or if I had to look somewhere.

I'll burn a disk or four tonight by way of testing. if first one works then I'll do the others. That is why I keep RWs around. It's just that my RWs burn at 2.4X or 2X versus 4X on -R or +R media.

I Don't know if TDA is on standard or not... I just settled on it for speed, ease of use, etc., Since it plays on all my players. I like it in that I can add RAW VOBs or import titles from a DVD and with the AC3 plug-in.

                            Thanks for all your work.

Tried three disks last night, 1 & 3 worked, 1st one I unchecked add menus, 2nd one That's the one I forgot to uncheck add menus, third one I tried Force Textdata segement reauthor.

So Tonight I plan to try again, remembering this time to make notes of option settings and what worked for me and what didn't.

                              Thanks for your efforts.
