Windows Media Player 11 Plays 16:9 as 4:3

Hi think this is a codec problem but unsuse I regularly convert 16:9 ntsc divx and xvid files to 16:9 pal using tmpgenc plus 2.5. I have had the settings saved for a few years to convert to a dvd compatible mpeg I just load that and pic the video bit rate.

Anyway recently upgraded to 64 bit windows vista ultimate. I needed some viedo codecs so I found a pack which said it was specifically for 64 bit (I know you can use standard ones but I thought this would be better).

Now when I play the video in media player 11 it fits the video into a 4:3 area on a widescreen laptop. But if I play it in media player classic this doesn't happen. Will this be a codec problem? or something else

ps Ran the files through gspot it says there 16:9

    thanks for any help
