nero 7 recoding trouble

So far, two of the six dvd's I've tried to recode have failed using nero 7. I've read the instructions and done everyting exactly as I've been directed(hopfully) with dvd dycriptor and dvd shrink and daemon tools. I do use the ISO file to reocode. The first time the dvd recoding failed was when my computer promted me that I had not put a dvd in the disc drive when it was for sure an empty disc because I got it out of a new packet of dvds. Also, the second time the recoding faild I copied the code. The last two out ot three dvd burns have failed. I apologize if this is a thread already. I could not find the name of the error on the dvd recoding failure printout.

if you have used shrink to make a compressed iso there's no point in using
nero recode.

that's an antique dvd burner with original firmware, unless you have some
2003 blank disks, you'll need to update it's firmware
