Possible dropped frame

When DVD-RB scans the source during PREPARE it counts the frames in each segment. Then when it does the REBUILD it again counts the frames to make sure the encode went correctly and it matches the original. Something is going on in your configuration that is chopping a frame off of each segment.

Do a "Display Versions" from the HELP menu and post it so I can see what software is in use. Also, try it without any editing and see how it comes out.

I updated, just ran a DVD rebuilding task and I still have this problem with the new version :/

I just ripped a DVD with DVD Decrypter (so no RipIt4Me or pre processing) and rebuilt it after having mounted the iso in deamon tools. Well, the problem still remains !

What disc are you trying to do? I'll pick it up and give it a run if its NTSC. It has to be something exceptionally odd about that particular disc.

Note: Is anyone else getting slow response from this forum today? I'm having to wait 20 or more seconds to get a page displayed.

However, there is something I don't understand with the editor:
after the prepare phase, DVD Rebuilder has determined the Q and I can then remove segments or play with the compression ratio in the editor. If I start the encoding/rebuilding process without any editing and with a compression ratio of 50% (ie the default one), I'll get a final VIDEO_TS dir of 4.16GB

But if I change the compression ratio value for, let's say, only the main movie and raise it by 7 or 10 points (50% --> 60%) the final output size will still be 4.16GB !? Just as if the editor blanked the videos but didn't take into consideration my modifications of the comp ratio value. Do you have any idea ?

The editor doesn't currently support one-pass-vbr encoding. That's because it would have to do the entire prediction routine over again every time you make a change. The encode will be done with the original Q value no matter what you change.

Yes, unless you are removing advertisements etc. just because you don't like them.

If you are using OPV and you remove 200M in extras and the OPV sizing is perfect -- you'll end up 200M undersized.

I've thought about adding OPV resampling to the editor. Maybe I'll add that. But, the problem with prediction passes is that once you've done it a few times you've come close to spending as much time as you would have doing a first pass... and that defeats the purpose.
