Problems with your 360? Post here!

People has mentioned problems scattered all over this board, so I thought putting them all in here would be a good idea. Let's start with me:

About a week after we got the console, from release date, the console started giving us 3 red lights. We figured out in the end that leaving the disc in the console while it was off, then turning it on was causing the problem. Nothing major there.
Next, just a week ago, our console threw us a big problem. It started playing up on me as soon as I turned it on. I turned it on several times to make sure it just wasn't a one-off thing - it wasn't - 3 red lights would appear or the console would freeze. Dad wrung up MS, followed the instructions he gave, and still no difference. The last theory the MS man had was that a gamesave file was corrupt (or out of sync with the console, can't remember). He said to eject the harddrive and see if it went away. It did. So the man said we had to delete some of our latest gamesaves so it would go away. This annoyed me a little, but if it's to fix the console, it's fine... So that was that, and it was fine for the last 10 minutes I played on it that night.
The next day, it packed up again. I got Dad to have a quick look at it, ejected the harddrive again and it froze without the harddrive plugged in. That blew MS's theory then. They then told us to send it into them to fix.
Luckily, we got our console back quickly. It was completely replaced! The serial numbers on the powersupply and console were different to the old one. It's quieter too.

    So, what are your experiences?

A couple of months ago I had the red ring of death. I sent it in and they replaced the console with a different one. So far so good but I haven't been playing it much like I used too. Usually on mine when the three red lights would come on it meant that the power cord or the video cord wasn't completely plugged into the console. Anyways after my console crashed it screwed up some of my saved game files and it made it to where I can't play the dloaded guitar hero songs unless I hook up to the internet. Oh well...my ps2 crashed along time ago also. I got it the christmas it was recalled, I sent it in and got it fixed then it just crashed on me again. So I took it apart to use some of the parts for my friends ps2 that broke also! It didn't work because the two consoles were differnt models but looked exactly the same on the outside. Go figure.

My Xbox 360 (purchased this time last year) is still doing alright, although I don't use it for gaming for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time (and to watch HD DVDs). There's probably a good chance that it will get the RROD problem at some stage, but I'm not too worried about it since it's all covered by a 3 year warranty anyway (still got a little bit more than 2 years left for me).

Some people are reporting that they get the same console back (same serial number), but with some additional hardware fixes. Others are reporting new non HDMI consoles being sent to them, while the luckier ones get the newer HDMI versions. I think over time, when Microsoft runs out of stock and parts for the non HDMI versions, they might start sending Falcon or newer based 360's, but I think that's probably 6 months away.
