    converting real player files

    Hello all,

I'm hoping to convert a real player file to something that adobe premiere elements will recognize. I've downloaded TMPGEnc thinking it would do the job, but it doesn't recognize it either.

I've tried changing the 'environmental settings" so that "Direct Show Multi Media File Reader" is the highest priority as the FAQ suggested, but it didn't work either. Is there some way to do this?

Open it in TMPGEnc via AVISynth script(DirectShow Source........). Ofcourse you need to have Real Player or Real Alternative(preferable) installed.

thanks, after posting here I realized that the file is a flash video. Nero had no trouble with it. I don't know why I thought it was a real player file. Wasted most of an afternoon for nothing.

thanks for the help though. Note to self: READ silly
