      How? I'm using the Hitachi GX3300A DVDCAM and have a USB attached to the camera and PC. How do I get video? I tried it with Yahoo Messenger and get nothing.

          Connect ur cam to pc through USB.In Yahoo Messenger configure the Webcam so that the camera source is your cam.Sign IN.Then MESSENGER/My Webcam/File/Preferences/Camera source.

            Thanks but I did try that. The cam is not being read by Messenger. Do you have any other suggestions how to change that?

              Is the cam recognised by other programs(when connected to USB)?

                  So the problem is not in YM.Try to get USB Driver for your cam model.Did any CD come with it?
