A new Microsoft promotional video, posted on YouTube, makes fun of the fact that Apple Macs do not support Blu-ray.
Apple's Steve Jobs once called Blu-ray "a bag of hurt", and has since resisted calls from Mac fans to include Blu-ray support. Many of theorized that this is because Apple's iTune strategy actually competes with Blu-ray. This is despite Apple sitting on the board of the Blu-ray Disc Association.
However, the claim that Windows 7 has "built-in" Blu-ray support is also a bit misleading. In order for Blu-ray movies to play on Windows 7, users still have to purchase or download a third party software like PowerDVD Ultra 3D or WinDVD Pro before they can start playing Blu-ray movies, and of course, they would also need a Blu-ray drive.
