How to record small sections of a dvd??

Is there some software I can use to view a DVD and simply select a portion to record? I have software that can record whole DVD's and also specific tracks but this doesn't have the facility to select "start recording" and "Stop recording" on - say a slider bar.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

DVD Shrink (freeware) can do this. You can download it from http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/

Open your DVD, Click in Re-author, then on to Set start/End Frames. Choose which segment you wish to copy and click backup and select your preferences.
