    WINTV compression

    hi folks,

i want to recort TV-programm by my WINTV (hauppage) card. wich kompression should i use. MPEG (which layer?) or DIVX (i have the pro version) or any other format....

I have a PIII 1,0 GHz. I want a good quality, i dont care if the file ist not compressed to a very small size.

second I use the function of WINTV2000 to record. Can you suggest any other programm, maybe a programm which can start the computer on its own before recording?

    questions over questions.....

    Thanks!

record to MPEG-2. it will ensure maximum quality, at a decent filesize. if you wish to reduce the size, you could alwyas comress to divx/xvid later
