black screen in virtual dub output fike?

Hallo to anyone.


I have some movie i want to put subtitle on, but something is wrong.
1/
have the avi file and the subtitle
2/
make the subtitle in divxland media subtitler and make and save the subtitle as a substation alpha (SSA)
3/
close down divxland media subtitler.
4/
open bit rate calculator and virtual dub.
5/
open my movie file avi
6/
go to video filters and open my subtitle as i have save before.
7/
then i go look audio it's OK and also video full processing mode click on compression and select divx use the bit rate calculator and now it's time to save avi output movie
8/
everything starts i can see the normal video with out subtitle and the output video file with the subtitle. Then there is a box general video number 3 in that i do not remember and log file now i look at video and there is a black screen no picture, but sound is OK
what have i make wrong?
