PC built to order advice

I am wanting to spend about $1000 on a custom PC. It will be for video editing and dvd burning. Any advice on what I need without going overboard? Also, who should I buy from? I know of Monarch Comp Systems, TigerDirect, Dell, ect.
I customized one at tigerdirect for about $1200 and that was without a graphics card (I want tv in, dual display,ect, more for video capture not games) and a dvd-burner!
I suppose if I knew of a trustworthy place to buy a mobo and cpu already setup (I don't want to mess with the heatsink bizness) I could put the rest together. I'm sure you've all heard these inquiries a thousand times. Thanx in advance!

Dell is good, that's what I have.

Try going to Micro Center if you are in the US, they have people who will help you buy the parts to build a PC.

Check out Monarch computers they sell parts too and CPU / Mobo combos but i just use newegg for my purchases
