Does anyone know how Windows uses (n) .. where n is some number.. in filenames? I just noticed these references in Recent lists etc.. with (1) or (2) in the filename. In Vista they're all in the
AppData\Roaming it seems but I see them in XP too. A lot of them seem to be links to folders but there are regular files too. I'm wondering if that's Windows Normal or if something got scrambled.
Is there a freebie tool to clean them off? Or should I even
bother with 'em?
