I have a KDS Radius S-3F LCD Monitor that uses an ac adapter with a 4-pin plug.
The back light, green/orange light, self test and tuning window all work properly. In short the monitor works fine except I cannot get any data from the pc. A different same model KDS monitor works fine with the same pc. As the pc is booting I can see changes in the lighting as the pc changes pages so I am sure the cable is fine.
Here's a clue: While connecting my own made up 4-pin (12v) power adapter I accidently shorted the +/- pins (several times I'm afraid). After that the data turned to a fuzzy greyscale and then no data at all.
I saw in a post that you said if there is no data and everything checks fine it is most likely in the matrix board. I went to the circuit board and did not see any popped caps or burnt fuses or transisters.
Any suggestions on where and how to look for the problem?
Thanks, Dell
