I ran across this in a TekZilla tip:
7 Taskbar Tweaker
One nice tweak is for the taskbar thumbnail preview. If you don't like the fact that hovering the mouse on a grouped taskbar button brings up the thumbnail preview, there's a checkbox to disable it. Left clicking the mouse on the button will still give the preview. Plus there are a couple of other tweaks. Nice little simple utility.
Check the main page for other utilities. The tweaker is the only one I've tried so far.
Looks like a couple of interesting items though.
