LG drops the MSRP on the BH100 HD DVD/Blu-ray combo player
MSRP is $999, still too expensive (but the actual street price will be a lot lower). It's best to skip this player and wait for the Samsung dual format to drop in prices, because the LG cannot do HD DVD interactivity.
