Xbox Live general manager Marc Whitten says Microsoft is spending time on building out the infrastructure for the service and will skip over its regular bi-annual update.

That's a shame. First of all, locking games to consoles is a bad idea, considering the RRoD problem and all that. But without a Spring Update, has Microsoft run out of ideas for the Xbox 360, or are they putting the goodies in the new "Jasper" SKU?
