60 Minutes had the honor of broadcasting the MPAA's latest propaganda piece, which included director Steven Soderbergh and his opinion that the Internet should never have been invented (all because of piracy, you see).
In the piece, which tried using a previously debunked report to link BitTorrent usage to organised crime. Soderbergh's claim of $6b being lost to piracy was also reliant on a MPAA funded report that provided no source data. Soderbergh also claimed that fewer projects were being made, despite the fact that Hollywood has never had it better with record box office receipts.
And if really things are so bad, when is Soderbergh going to file for bankruptcy, or at least reveal how his income has decreased due to piracy in recent years.
