    UK Ofcom Reveals Anti-Piracy Policy

UK regulator Ofcom has unveiled its anti-piracy policy. In the planned process, a "blacklist" of individual's details will be kept and updated with the number of times the individual has committed suspected copyright infringement. The individual listed will be the owner of the connection, as opposed to the actual person who committed the infringement.

Music labels and movie studios will have full access to the list of individual names and offences, but they cannot take action against the individual until three warning letters have been sent to the individual, detailing on what may proceed next.

An independent appeals process will be available for those that wish to challenge the allegations.
