If the Inter-Kiev game is a draw, then Arsenal can go through as second with a draw as well. A win would guarantee that we win the group. A loss would mean disqualification, and UEFA cup.

One good thing is that Moscow is the only team that Arsenal haven't lost to yet in this CL group (away draw was the last result, although we had the chances to win it).

Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch it live, so the result could go either way.

It would be nice to qualify, but I don't think Arsenal will win the CL this year anyway.

Yeah, i really dont think they will win it, i think this year it will be between four teams. Inter Milan (lol - im joking about that one) - but really - Ac Milan, Man Utd, Real Madrid and Chelsea (though im not so sure about them).

Have you noticed how badly Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo are doing in La Liga this year now that they are in the CL. I think that the added pressure is to much for them. My team, rela Betis, after 6 defeats and down in 16th, Real Sociedad them 4-0 yesterday and are now up to 14th i think. Hopefully they will make a comeback in their next matches (Real Betis) to get into the top 6. We finished 7th last year after holding on to the 4th spot for so long. Go on Denilson, Joaquin etc...

Well done to Arsenal, good come back i have to admit. Still dont think they will win it though. Pity about Celtic not making it because of a penalty that was very harsh near the ned. Well done to them anyway. I hope they win the UEFA Cup.

We finish top of the group as well, which I bet no one would have believed just two weeks ago when we were bottom of the group, or four weeks ago, when we had only 1 point from 3 games.

Yeah, its a good result for you. the hammering of Inter was the turn around stage for Arsenal i think. Its good to see 3 British teams getting into the last 16. It shows that it is one of the best leagues in the world. I really hope we win it this year. Id be soooo happy

Out of the 8 group winners :

3 English (maybe more like 2.5 English, 0.5 Russian)
              2 French
              2 Italian
              1 Spanish

A good result for English teams. I must say that even though I hate Chelsea, the money that they have do attract more attention and quality players to the Premier League, and so, it can't be a bad thing.

Yeah, i agree with that to a certain extent. I just hope United make a few buys in the next month or so. Someone like Puyol from Barcelona would be amazing for a defencive purchase. If we got another top class striker i would be happy too, but i feel its not really the problem anymore with Solskjaer coming back and Diego Forlan hitting (even though he misses a lot) a bit of form. His strike record/against starts is pretty impressive on paper. Im hoping to see the real Man Utd start playing very soon. I hope we get someone like Rivaldo to add a bit of class to the side for this year. It would be nice.

Also, its a real pity that Henrik larsson is intent on leaving celtic and going home after this season. I really hope they can convince him to change his mind. What a star striker he is. They would be lost without him.

Paul Scholes is Back. 3-1 victory over Man City today with Scholes taking two of those goals. A good all round performance from united. A few mistakes and a bit of slack defending leading to our conceded goal. Im happy, i put £100 on us winning today so i get £140 back including my £100. Not much, but what the hell

40% profit from betting on Man U beating Man City - that's not bad. Although a couple of seasons ago, no one would even offer such a safe bet.

Yeah, thats true. Unfortunately my £40 i made has gone

You see, i love playing Texas Holdem Poker and went on to Ladbrokes Poker website and put my £40 into the poker bank and got my chips. So i was playing away winning and losing and ended up with around £90 altogether. So i got my hand and saw 2 Aces and thought - YYYEEESSS!!! The first round of bets went in and the pot was about £20. Then the three cards were turned over. One was an Ace. I couldnt believe it. Cracker hand. So i put in another £10 in the pot. The pot found its way up to around £160 (10 players) after the second round of betting. After three more rounds i went all in and so did this other fella. The pot by now was over £480 and i was thinking i was bound to win it. Well, damn, the fecker had a Royal Flush. I couldnt believe it . GRRRRRRRRRRRR

That's a shame. Just shows that there is no such thing as a safe bet.

Good thing I didn't bet on Chelsea winning at home on Saturday - would have lost a bundle there

lol - it was surprising but very good for both of us. Lets just hope that Blackburn can hold Arsenal to a draw or beat them and United are back at the top of the league.

Weell, Arsenal got the 1-0 victory, though it couldve easily been 4-0 in the first half. Pires was a bit unlucky. They are back on top and we are in second one point behind. As long as chelsea are behind us, thats the main thing. Im ready for oour winning roll in January to June

I hate watching games like this ... nearly had a heart attack near the end of the game, when Lehmann made two excellent saves to deny an equaliser for Blackburn. Kolo Toure was brilliant, yet again (the most consistent player this season so far). Blackburn is our bogey team - we have only beat them once in the last seven attempts at home in the league prior to this weekend's game!!

Away to Bolton next - officially slightly worried ...

And Thierry was robbed of the world player of the year. Zidane is a great player, but how many teams has he personally destroyed in the last year?? I guess this is what happens when you let any old person that has a slight say in world football to cast a vote, for example :

                              Chinese Taipei's vote :
                              1. Michael Owen (then why is Liverpool 9th??)
                              2. Dado Prso (might be good enough for Fulham, who wants to buy him)
                              3. Takamatsu Daiki (who??)
