I wouldnt go quite as far as to say that, but i really feel he isnt performing as a man in his position should. Maybe he has given up on the league and wants to concentrate on the CL, who knows, but i doubt we'll have any silver in our trophy cabinets....

From the perspective of an Arsenal fan, I think you do miss Beckham a lot. Even RvN has stated this.

What Beckham did for you was to provide that cutting edge towards end of games. Usually a goal from a free kick, or an excellent cross - didn't he provide lots of RvN's goals last season?

I used to hate the fact that ManU can always find something to win games in the last ten minutes when you've not been playing well, but this season, you haven't been able to do this and I think Beckham is part of the reason. Fulham drew level at 69 minutes, yet with RvN on for the rest of the game, you could not find a winner. The same with Leeds last week.

You have played something like 6 players in the Beckham position this season, and none have worked as well (Ronaldo is better on the left, from what I hear).

Or maybe it's not how bad United is, but how good Arsenal are. United actually have more points now than at the same stage last season!!

Actually, that idea came from a forum post by a United fan trying to say that it's not Fergie's fault that they are not going to win the league this season, but it's because Arsenal are extraordinarily good this season, and that we can't possible be this good next season ...

I actually think Arsenal can play a whole lot better, especially in the attacking area. Can't fault the defence though ...

              excuses, excuses
but even if Arsenal is better this season than before (and, objectively speaking, it is), it doesnt explain MU being on level of Chelsea (no matter the russian money)...

AS a United fan i can say that Arsenal are lookin exceptional this season. They never look like loosing a game. To be honest, im happy for them, they have worked hard and are benefiting from that.

After watching the match with Fulham, it is clear that its another match of missed opportunities. We should really have been 2 or 3 goals up in the first half alone. Wes Brown performed really well i felt, the goal was his fault though as he was beaten by the Boa Marte, but the rest of the game he was pretty amazing. Ronaldo was excellent as was Roy Keane. I just feel that the "luck of the game" isnt with us at the minute. Anyone who saw the match would agree that we shoudlve had a penalty....

Anyway, why dwell on it, its Arsenals league this year, we can still do ok in FA Cup and CL if we get our act together....

lol - Atleast we got the result against Fulham second time round in the FA. Arsenal should some class and gave Portsmouth a real Hammering, howver i think the fans were brilliant for Portsmouth. They kept on chearing them and the manager even after 5 goals conceded and they clapped and cheer the players for the ahrd work they put in. Arsenal were in a different class....

We're having a great FA Cup campaign - 15 goals in 4 games, conceding 4 in the process. The FA will probably do everything possible to get an United/Arsenal final (warmed balls in the draw and all)

No warmed balls ... it's Arsenal vs United in the Semis, so whomever wins this tie will probably go on to lift the Cup.

Yeah just heard that. It might be a good Omen for things to come. if we beat you then we may also win the Premiership (hahahaha) not very likely...

                            Premiership for Arsenal,
                            FA Cup for MU.

That's the way I see it now...

A very critical game tonight on UK Ch3, Man Utd versus FC Porto at Old Trafford. Roy Keane is out, Rio is obviously not there, neither is Silvestre. We will have both RvN and Saha up front, my guess is we will also have Ronaldo on from start with Giggs out the other side and Scholes, Butt/Djemba/P.Neville in the middle. Im guessing we will see a centre defensive partnership with John O'Shea and Wes Brown. Gary Neville as right backa nd his brother Phil as left back if Fortune is out.

Porto totally dominated United in the first leg, so I think United will be wary of this danger, and get the result they need. I predict 3-1 to United.

Arsenal will play Celta Vigo with a 3-2 away win in the last match. If Arsenal can score 1 or 2 goals, then it would make it very difficult for Celta ... but then again, we always seem to lose to Spanish sides 2-0 at home, so I don't know
