editing dolby digital clip !!

Extracted Dolby Digital trailer..

I want to add some effects / audio clip to the sound on this clip - extracted from the vob on a dvd. I understand i'll have to strip the relevent mpg and audio file.

Whats the best way to do this, can i do it by taking ac3 into soundforge with an ac3 plugin and mix it here ??? Whats the best way ?
