1) when u install divx 4.x theres an option that comes up asking you if yu want divX 4 to read all of your DivX 3 content or just let DivX 3 do all the divx 3 movies.
So basically when u install DivX 4 you arent overwriting your older divx Codecs.
When you encode in flask or somethin and you choose your codec (if u have 3 & 4 installed) youll both of your codecs in the codec list.
So basically you can have both installed
