Hi folks,
I nearly went insane yesterday when browsing through various forums all over the web, searching for a description to solve the following task:
How can I author a DVD to have subtitles, when I have the video-stream (mpeg2 or avi, incl. audio) itself and also the fitting *.sub and *.idx-files???
Normally, I use the TMPG encoder and also its authoring tool. Neither of them seems to support the merging of subtitles in the *.ifo file. I found various descriptions how to ripp subtitles off of DVDs and how to add permanent subtitles, but I simply want to have normal subtitles as I know them from fabricated DVDs.
I tried sth. with IFOEDIT, but I don't think that this tool can handle the .sub & .idx-format.... Apart from that, it's not very userfriendly, if so is not familiar to DVD-protocols...
Has anyone an idea???
Thanx,
m.
