Hello there,
I recently purchased a new 600Mhz iBook, and I'm trying to see if it's possible to burn a DVD on it. I'm using iMovie to edit the files have Final Cut Pro if neccesary), and I have QuickTime so I can convert everything from iMovie to MPEG 2 video and AIF files.
But that's where I'm stuck at. I can't run DVD Studio Pro cause it requires a G4 I think to build a Video_TS, and I'm not aware of any other third party software to do so. And yes I know I need a DVD burner drive to do the actual burning and I have Toast Titanium for OS X as well to do the burning.
I'm trying to do simple things, no fancy menus and stuff. Just a simple, insert the disc and play the movie type of thing. Chapters would be nice but not neccesary.
Is there something out there that I can just take the exported QT files and convert to VOB? or someway to get DVD Studio Pro to run on a G3?
I would have bought an iMac with the superdrive, but they're hard to get, if not impossible, and I couldn't afford a PowerMac, and I needed a portable too
Thanks in advance for any help. I'd really like to get this working, just say it IS possible to do, not only get my movies done.
