I need some adviced from someone experienced...

Hey everyone.... kinda new to this dvd backing up thing, but I've been reading a lot and I think I've just about got it. I have one question though (about my one problem): when I try to burn this backup of my dvd of ravenous to dvd-r it won't play straight off the menu when I hit play. I have to go to the scene selection and then start it on scene 2 and then backtrack it to scene 1. It won't even start on scene 1 through the scene selection menu. Weird, I know. Also, when I use ifoedit to repoint the ifo's with the get vts sectors option, it doesn't seem to be doing all it should. See, I took out the trailer to the movie, but when you go to the menu where it gives you the option to see the trailer, if you select it it crashes. I was under the impression it would just not do anything (not crash at least). I'm using primo dvd 2.0 (which also incidently won't let me burn a damn thing unless I make it an image first... can any of you help me on this also?) Sorry, I thought I only had one question... guess it's a bit worse. hahaha I'd really appreciate any help anyone could give me.
