Sony DRU530A HELP!

I changed out hp300i with a sony dru530a. With my hp i never had any problems w/ dvd shrink ,express or any other back-up programs. SInce my sony dru530a ---I continue to receive an error message(Could not perform command) and (could not perform end of disc at once) I tired of creating coasters. Can anyone help!
