Need help with region-free fix. Running the above DVD drive,firmware revision 2.01, in a Dell Inspiron 8200, under Win XP Pro, using Win DVD.
I've tried "Remote Selector" and RPCMan and neither work. I am really leery of applying a firmware "fix" unless I can get a fallback copy of the original firmware so that I don't ruin the drive. Can't find one at LG/Goldstar web site.
Any ideas? Anyone else have experience with this drive?
