Play DivX subtitles on actual DVDs! Is it possible?

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to play DivX subtitles on actual
DVDs. I guess all we need is a player that looks for external an
subtitle file even when playing a regular DVD.

Is there any player out there that can do this?

The reason I'm asking is that I own a few DVD's that
don't have subtitles and I really need them since there's
more people watching my movies.
