sony ddu1621 playback with dxr-3 in win xp

Heeeelp! I have a sony ddu1621 (with region-free firmware). I have win xp and win 98. In windows 98 i used a creative encore dxr-3 for playback. In win xp i tried to install it but it won't install. I had once read an article about using zoneselector and installing the card as realhollywood magic. can anyone please help me?
