region choice in powerdvd

I have recently upgrade the firmware in my Piooner DVD so it's now region free. But when I'm tryoung to watch a moviw in PowerDVD I still get up the screen that I have to change the region. I have run driveinfo and it says that it's region free. Why is it like this?
I have also used DVD genie to remove windows internal region protection.
