Error in PC downloaded DV file !!
Hi guys !! I am new to this forum so please excuse me if I have not followed certain rules. Guys I am an ENT surgeon and it is v.imp. for me to download my surgeries on my pc. I record them on my Canon ZR950 MiniDv handycam and tranfer them to my PC through the DV(firewire) out of the camcorder to the firewire card (IEE 1394) on the pc..The file gets downloaded and also plays properly.
But the problem is that whenever I try to open the file or the folder in which this downloaded file is present a message box pops up which says
Active Window:Explorer Exe:-Application error
The instruction at "0*043a1710" referenced memory at "0*043a1710".
The memory could not be "written"
click OK to terminate programme.
Click Cancel to debug programme.
But when either OK or Cancel is clicked the whole thing closes down and a blank desktop is seen (no icons also,only background picture of the desktop is seen.) and then slowly the icons appear.
If no option is clicked the movie can be played by shifting the message box downwards.
Same thing happens on downloading videos by USB from my canon powershot camera or nokia digital camera.
Downloaded composite movies through RCA jack have no problems .
Downloaded pictures by USB have no problems.
I know this looks like a letter now but I could not put it in lesser words.

AMD Athlon (tm) 64x2 Dual core Processor 3600+
2.1 GHz ,1Gb RAM
Video card : Nvidia GeForce 6100
