Menus in Pinnacle Studio 8
A couple of weeks ago I posted the following message to Pinnacle Tech Support (re Studio 8):
"I have searched in vain in the knowledge base for an answer to the following problem. I am trying to create a menu system where the first screen offers two choices: 'view entire movie' and 'scene selection'. Chapter 1 of the first menu starts at the beginning of the first clip, with return to menu set at the end of the movie. The second item on M1 correctly goes to M2 (scene selection) when clicked, and the first chapter of M2 starts just after the first chapter of M1. However, when I have 'return after every chapter' checked in M2 I am unable to watch the entire movie uninterrupted when I click the first item in M1 - the returns in M2 effectively override 'view entire movie' in M1. It only works if I don't have 'return after every chapter' selected in M2. Is this the way it's supposed to work? Also, at the end of the film I am taken back to Menu 2 (scene selection) rather than the main menu. I find it very frustrating."
The reply I received just contained some general advice about maximising system performance - it made no reference to my question about menus at all.
Is what I've outlined above just the way Studio 8 menus work, or am I missing something? It would be good to be able to return after each scene in one menu and play the whole movie, completely uninterrupted, with the other.
