I have a problem with powerVCR MPEG-2 files when trying to convert them to divX using FlaskMPEG (or Xmpeg).
First when playing these file into XMPEG it seems to play in slow motion. Then when converting to DivX, XMpeg crash in the middle (with flaskMpeg it stops in the middle). The progress statistics showing the remaining time seems all confused and goes to 0 in the middle.)
For bigger MPEG-2 file (1.8 GIG) , XMpeg show unrealistic progress information (like estimated conversion time : 200 hours or so).
I converted vob files from a DVD and it works very well and very fast. (~23 fps). But with the powerVCR MPEG-2 files the processing speed is about 11 fps.
